Welcome to Moles
Founded upon a mainly live-music policy, along with the provision of real ale and a more natural environment with plenty of wood finishes, and an absence of "plastic" the club has expanded and continued to develop over the years in an organic fashion. The club now offers an excellent selection of beers, lagers and spirits including of course a wide range of bottled beers. It also boasts a 7 kilowatt, state-of-the-art Bose/Thunder Ridge sound system. The club's clientele, is a mixture of musicians, students, graduates from the city's 2 universities, and afficionados of the club and live music scene. It is definitely the more altenative end of the spectrum in comparison to the other nightclubs in the city!
For those simply wishing to have a drink and a chat the club has plenty of space away from the band and dance floor, with an upstairs bar area and two other rooms with plenty of seats and tables. The club benefits from the recent re-fit of the loos, when the next door building was bought and incorporated into the club. This has meant more seating areas, and a proper dedicated cloakroom big enough for a capacity crowd. Still based around the original concept the club has adapted to changing trends and tastes but manages to retain the same relaxed, friendly and intimate atmosphere it had in the beginning.
