Moles People

Philip Andrews | Moles owner
phil@moles.co.uk
Phil Andrews, started Moles Club, a long way back, in 1978 to be exact. A modest amount of starting capital and a small loan from some friends was what enabled Moles Club to come into being. Working regular 100 hour weeks to get the whole thing off the ground was common place in the early days. Now Phil is in overall charge of the set-up, with a strong team of managers in charge of the three businesses.

Kath | Office Manager
kath@moles.co.uk
Kath runs all the publicity, and co-ordinates the posters, adverts, and any other admin jobs in the office. She also books bands for Monday nights and is the Battle of the Bands supremo in October and November!

Fred Williams | Sound engineer
fwilliams@radioavalon.freeserve.co.uk
Fred was a well known person on the Bath music scene, and was a much loved and valued member of the Moles team for 25 years in his job as sound engineer.. Fred worked his magic for some major bands who played at Moles over the years, and gained much respect from people in many areas of the music business

Sadly Fred passed away recently and will be missed greatly by the Mole's team

Iain Bradley | Master fixer & painter
Brad is our freelance fixer, who comes in and puts up shelves, paints the place, and redoes the collage in the Moles Club corridor every time some idiot decides to deface it. An expert with a screwdriver, so if you need a plug fixing.....

Kate, Boo, Louie | Kitchen Staff
Here are just a few of our hard working kitchen staff including Kate the manager, always ensuring that the menu is complete and full of tantalizing vegetarian meals for your enjoyment

Sarah | Office assistant extraordinaire
sarah@moles.co.uk
If your after a gig, want tickets, membership or have a general enquiry, it will probably be Sarah who will answer the phone. Sarah is also responsible for a portion of the graphics so you may see some of her posters on the walls of moles and the porter

Steve | Booker
Steve@moles.co.uk
Steve books all the amazing bands you see in the Porter Cellar bar and Saturday nights at Moles Club.

Comedy Cavern

Scott Capurro Camp and outrageous, provocative and controversial, catty and hysterical, Scott Capurro is a breath of fresh air in the increasingly samey and stale world of stand-up. ‘Enthralling…electric…deliciously catty’ The Guardian. Constantly operating on the boundaries of good taste and often straying some way over the line Scott is a challenging comedian in the best sense of the word. He is so comfortable dealing with topics that other comics would never touch that he forces audiences to ask themselves why they should feel so uncomfortable about some of his subject matter. Yet despite this approach or perhaps even because of it Scott has established himself as one of the most popular faces in the UK comedy circuit. Since his award-winning solo debut at the 1994 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Capurro has become a regular Fringe favourite. Constantly seeking to challenge himself as well as his audience, he has since returned with several solo Fringe shows and experimented with a variety of forms and styles, including his dark 1998 one-man play, Brian Souffle, and his infamous 2001 collaboration with John Cardone, Fucking Our Fathers.
